My Library

One Native Life

Marian saw this book in the gift shop on a BC Ferry to Victoria, and after reading two paragraphs, just had to have it.  Richard Wagamese is a story teller.  Each chapter not only tells a story, but, much like Aesop’s Fables, has a lesson it.  Although the author makes application to himself first, we the readers are quite able to make a connection in our lives.

This book is very well written.  I found the best way to enjoy it was to read one or two chapters at a time, then let a day go by.  Not only did it extend the read, but allowed time for reflection.
